Whilst continuing to deliver the highest standards of catering service to our clients and meeting business objectives. Our journey in becoming more sustainable concentrates on our carbon footprint, water usage, our supply chain, and waste.

Our environmental strategy is focused in these main areas that have a significant environmental impact across our catering operations:

  • Strive to increase waste diversion by recycling all paper, cardboard, metals, bottles, plastics, packaging, and cans
  • Composting arrangement all food waste
  • Discourage the use of disposable products by using washable/renewable items
  • Reduce the waste generated by donating reusable office items (appliances, electronic equipment, furniture) to local charities
  • Reuse envelopes and packaging as well as purchase reusable products
  • Promote the use of natural lighting to conserve energy where feasible
  • Low season policy to turn off refrigeration and kitchen appliances when use is not required

Conscious Collection Menu

At Oxford Fine Dining we are proud to support a sustainable food agenda. We believe that understanding and managing the impact that our actions have on people and the environment, both locally and globally is an essential part of being a socially responsible and transparent catering business.

Our conscious collection menu has been carefully selected to provide opportunity for our clients to develop their sustainable awareness through their menu selections, empowering them to make a difference. We seek to source UK based seasonal produce for our menus, working with local suppliers wherever possible.

Creating the conscious collection supports our 2050 goal of halving the carbon emissions associated with food and drink through supporting sustainable agriculture and land use by focusing on seasonal and local sourcing, reducing food imports, reducing the portions of meat and dairy and increasing vegetarian and vegan options.

Through strong leadership by our appointed Sustainability Officer, Abbie we ensure our employees have the resources to carry out recycling, food waste and resource conservation practices.

We recognise our responsibility to provide sustainable food to our customers.

We recognise that we must balance economic need against our responsibility to the quality of our environment. We will encourage customers, suppliers, and other stakeholders to do the same.

Our dedicated vegan menus are promoted to all clients, along with our local wine list allowing them to make conscious decisions around their catering choices.

As a business we are committed to attracting clients with a similar sustainable ethos to ourselves by being member of Green Union, a sustainability directory and lifestyle community. This platform helps our wedding clients, make conscious connections when planning their wedding.
